After testing many papers, we have settled on these three.
Each has individual characteristics listed below which make them suitable for specific images.
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta 315gsm
For colour prints which will be behind glass, I believe Photo Rag Baryta finest paper available, it has the widest colour gamut and the deepest blacks. It has a slightly warm base and semi-gloss surface which gives wonderful saturation. Simply, prints look better on this paper than any other.
Canson Infinity Photo Satin Premium 270gsm
For colour photographic prints from film or digital, or to mimic a traditional c-type paper Canson Satin RC paper is wonderful for its very smooth satin surface and colour reproduction. It’s very similar to Fuji crystal archive and very reasonably priced.
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag
For Black and White prints, limited edition paintings and illustration artwork, I suggest Photo Rag. An award-winning acid free matt paper from Hahnemuhle. It’s smooth surface and feel of Photo Rag gives this paper incredible depth and three-dimensional appearance.
